Abbeyfield Farm

abbeyfield farm

Abbeyfield Farm is located on the Kildare / Dublin border, in the Clane countryside and just 20 minutes drive from the M50. Leave the urban life behind and visit this 240 acre sprawling expanse of farm where a super range of group day out activities are available.

This family operated venue has first class facilities and a team of expert instructors who will introduce your group to a range of outdoor country pursuits.

Horses are a big part of life at this location and a 1 hour pony trek experience can introduce you to the equestrian way of life. Pony trekking is a highly pleasant way to spend a morning or afternoon, where mounted visitors can meander along quiet and unspoilt country laneways, kitted out in professional riding equipment like boots and riding helmet.

The equestrian facilities at Abbeyfield Farm are on a par with any of the top equestrian centres in the country, which probably explains why Abbeyfield Farm has been voted Equestrian Centre of the Year by Zurich Insurance and the Irish Independent.

All proficiency levels are welcome and the friendly team at Abbeyfield Farm will put you completely at ease as they introduce you to this centuries old leisure experience. If you care for a more adventurous trek experience, this can be arranged too. Abbeyfield Farm is also approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (A.I.R.E)

If you’re after some team building in Kildare, Abbeyfield Ireland’s leading Outdoor Country Pursuits Centre, offers a host of group day out activities like Clay Pigeon Shooting, an Air Rifle Range and also Long Bow Archery.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Abbeyfield-Farm-Group-days-outMany people are familiar with clay pigeon shooting but have yet to experience this thrill. With a little expert tuition, you could be connecting with every shot!

This is an all weather activity but just great on a good day! The instructors at Abbeyfield Farm are all experienced shooters and will impart their knowledge to ensure you have a memorable experience. Load up with 12 and 20 guage shotguns and let loose on airborne targets coming from different angles. Catering for groups up to 30, this experience is sure to bring out the competitive streak in all participants!

Air Rifle Range

Air rifle ranges are growing in popularity in Ireland and can now be seen alongside clay pigeon shooting at most shooting venues. At Abbeyfield Farm, you’ll get all of the equipment you need as well as expert tuition from your instructor. All you need to do is dress for the weather on the day. Compared to clay pigeon shooting where you are tracking a moving target, air rifles offer a more refined form of shooting, where you introduce patience and breathing to enhance your chances of hitting targets down the range. Sound is almost minimal and with little recoil on the weapon, it’s all about skill as you progress over 4 levels of difficulty.

The rush you feel by getting closer with your next arrow is addictive and with sessions lasting 45mins to 1 hour, you have lots of time to master this ancient art!.

Guided by the expert instructors at Abbeyfield Farm, this is a superb group day out activity and an ideal way to bring out that competitive streak in your group.
