The team at Adare Country Pursuits are highly trained in this art and visitors are in for a real treat with the opportunity to get up close to these magnificent birds of prey. The resident Falconers will give you an insight into the history and tradition of Falconry and then you’ll experience the magic of flying one of these awe-inspiring birds freely to the glove, as you walk through the magnificent walled garden and surrounding woods of Adare Manor Hotel.

Archery has become increasingly popular in recent years, thanks in part to the continuous high profile it receives in mainstream media and movies, including the Marvel films, Lord of the Rings and other hugely popular TV shows like Game of Thrones.

What was once an activity used for survival, hunting and battle has now become a competitive sport and recreational activity that continues to grow in popularity as a group activity for corporate days out, groups or friends and also families. Archery is suitable for children as long as they are able to hold a bow and no prior experience is required.

Adare Country Pursuits have added gundog training and demonstrations to the list of activities available on the resort.

Using the gundogs available on site, you will learn to handle trained gundogs with the in-house trainer who has vast experience in training and handling, making up many dogs to F.T.Ch. status. You will get the opportunity to see dogs at differing levels of training incorporating, obedience, agility, marking, water work and ability to work as part of a team of trained dog.
