Days out in Carlow offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy some super experiences. Carlow town is in a picturesque setting on the bank of the River Barrow – the second longest river in Ireland at 192km and one of the most beautiful inland waterways in the country. The river forms the boundary with neighboring Co Laois and is a popular location for fishing where catches include Roach, Bream, Perch and Pike as well as Salmon and Trout.
If you fancy a bit of excitement on the water, be sure and check out Go with the Flow River Adventures who have expert local knowledge and will take you on a super river adventure along popular scenic spots.
