The National Theatre of Great Britain’s acclaimed production returns to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.
Following its first phenomenally successful tour which was seen by almost 400,000 people across the UK and Ireland, The National Theatre of Great Britain’s award-winning production, adapted from Mark Haddons best-selling book by Simon Stephens and directed by Marianne Elliott, returns to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre as part of its second major tour.
Christopher, fifteen years old, has an extraordinary brain exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion of killing Mrs Shears dog, it takes him on a journey that upturns his world
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time received seven Olivier Awards in 2013, including Best New Play, Best Director, Best Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design and five Tony Awards on Broadway including Best Play.
The production is designed by Bunny Christie, with lighting by Paule Constable, video design by Finn Ross, movement by Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly, music by Adrian Sutton and sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph.
The show has a guidance age of 11+. There is some strong language in this production, as there is in the novel. This occurs at the very beginning of the show and infrequently at other points during the show.
