Seven Ages of Mam
by Mark Evans
Performed by Pauline O’Driscoll
Inspired by Shakespeares most famous soliloquy which divides the life of each man into seven ages: The Infant, The Schoolboy, The Lover, The Soldier, The Justice, The Old Man and The Invalid.
In Seven Ages of Mam an Irish mother reminisces about her life, dividing it into similar ages by recalling key events, including gaining the title of Mam – some are comic, some are tragic; all of them explore the lengths we go to in order to find and hang on to our identity. At times laugh-out-loud funny and at times poignantly heart breaking.
Pauline ODriscoll is an internationally trained actress most recently seen on our screens starring opposite Pat Shortt in TV3s IFTA nominated drama series Smalltown.
Film & TV Credits include: Reflections, Selling Silence, Blackout, The One Up There, Staccato, Shot, Slices, Theres Something About Patrick, The Consultant and A Wake.
