Suede Bord Gáis Energy Theatre
October 14, 2018
One of the most ground breaking bands of the 90’s, Suede return to Dublin this October off the back of their 8th studio album ‘The Blue Hour’
Suede’s career is of two chapters. Dubbed as “the best new band in Britain” in 1992 & appearing on ‘Melody Makers’ front cover before even releasing their debut, the band continued on an upward trajectory with the critically acclaimed ‘Dog Man Star’ & the post Bernard Butler ‘Coming up’ before a self-imposed 10 year hiatus in 2003.
Returning with ‘Bloodsports’ (2013) and the far darker ‘Night Thoughts’ (2016) the band have again twice shown their astonishing abilities at bringing sadness & darkness to light through tales of outsider romance, alienation & urban decay from the musings of lead singer Brett Anderson
Their new offering, ‘The Blue Hour’ sees the band hint at a narrative that’s never quite explained and their visit to Bord Gais Energy on Sunday 14th of October marks a departure from their usual Olympia haunt and sees the band explore a new side to Dublin’s live offering.
