‘Rapunzel’ is TheatreWorx 2024 Christmas Panto now showing at the Helix in Dublin.

We were invited along as guests to the show and had an 18, 15 and 11 year old with us, all of which thoroughly enjoyed the performance. 

Those larger than life characters are back for another hilarious instalment of the seasonal panto run and this year as always does not disappoint.

Audience favourites like Dame Lola return, along with those lovable characters Buddy and Laurel. This year it’s also great to see some new faces join the cast and dance ensemble and you won’t be disappointed by the performances.

Families will be familiar with the Rapunzel story, the lost princes who has magic healing hair. Helped by Flynn, Rapunzel sets out to explore life outside her tower and meets a host of wonderful characters along the way. Of course, there’s always the panto baddie and Rua Barron gives a super performance as Rapunzel’s mother, Gothel.

The set design is wonderful and along with lighting effects and costumes, it really makes for a visual feast. Packed with talent, the ‘Rapunzel’ cast includes Caoimhe Garvey who returns to the Helix Panto stage playing the lead role, Rapunzel, Dan Miles plays the lovable rogue Flynn. AIMS award winner and funny man, Chris Corroon returns to the panto spotlight as Dame Lola, while panto favourites including Aidan Mannion as Laurel and Brian Dalton as Buddy amongst many others return for this wonderful and hilarious adaptation.

‘Rapunzel’ is a blast and there’s lost of trending snippets in there to give everyone a laugh. We’d love to tell you what to watch out for but you’ll just have to go and see it for yourself!!  

‘Rapunzel’ runs from Friday, 22nd November 2024 to Sunday, 12th  January, 2025.  Tickets priced from €28.50 (plus booking fees) and are on sale now from www.thehelix.ie and at The Helix Box Office.
