DayOut.ie were invited along to the 2025 Christmas Panto ‘The Snow Queen’ at the Helix Theatre in Dublin.

The Snow Queen is produced by the hugely experienced team at TheatreworX Productions and it’s the perfect festive treat for all ages! Creative Director of TheatreworX Claire Tighe, has been producing Christmas Panto events for the past 18 years! Each year they attract top stage talent and deliver fantastic Panto shows to Irish audiences.

The multi-talented Chris Corroon returns this year as the larger than life ‘Dame Lola’, and Tik Toks and “YouTubers” her way through the show with hilarious consequences. Audience favourite ‘Buddy, Buddy, Buddy’, played by Brian Dalton also returns and joins forces with the The Snow Queens sister ‘Hannah’, played by the bubbly and charming Rachel Gaughan. Spurred on by the Merryville villagers, Buddy and Hannah grow closer as they hope to disrupt the plans for Kingdom conquest of the icy panto baddie ‘Jack Frost’, played by the wonderful Michael Kiersey. It’s a great performance by Michael who revels in the baddie role and really gets the audience interaction going with those panto boos and jeers!
Buddie and Hannah are assisted on their quest by Fair City actor, Stephen O’Leary who plays Dame Lola’s son ‘Christopher’. Watch out for some hilarious interaction between ‘Christoper’ and the Panto funnie ‘Laurel’, played by the super Aidan Mannion. Laurel is back again for more outrageous antics and keeps the laughs going for the entire show!

This all star cast is joined by West End performer, Susan McFadden playing the lead role as the Snow Queen Elsie. The audience are treated to some superb vocals by Susan, who weaves all of the other scenes and characters together.

Worked into this Panto, are numerous references to modern culture, media and personalities and it’s a hugely entertaining couple of hours to see how it all comes together. The set design is some of the best we’ve seen, along with clever props and more cultural life size figures! Palace, forest and village scenes are all complimented by splendid costumes and with dance routines from the energetic troupe of both both senior and junior performers.

The Snow Queen is thoroughly enjoyable and hugely entertaining. Highly recommended!!! Grab your tickets as they’re selling out fast!
