DayOut.ie are huge fans of getting out and enjoying some fresh air, nothing beats it! We have a 12 year old who would happily stay in playing Fortnite all day every day if allowed but he isn’t! So, to keep the dreaded boredom from the door we’ve made a list of places that he and the rest of us would love to try out! Enjoy discovering somewhere new with your family this summer. Wild Air Run Dublin Cork Belfast Galway
Super Milk Wild Air Run is an award-winning family fun run that features 10 of Europe’s biggest inflatable obstacles as part of a 5K course. 2018 brings new features such a water guns to the course. Each runner gets a powerful foam water gun, which they take home, to complete new fun tasks around the course, and of course, to give each other a soaking.

Nevsail Watersports Limerick

Russborough House and Parklands Wicklow
Russborough is home to one of the most impressive private art collections in Ireland which may be viewed by taking a guided tour of the house.
The 18th century walled garden has been under restoration since 2011 and is now available for pre-booked groups.
The Outdoor Walking tour of the Demesne takes in 15 stops around our Demesne and is full of history and stories about Russborough for over 275 years.
The house opens to the public from March to December each year and offers multilingual guided tours of the house and rooms. From art lovers to historians to curious passers-by, the tour will leave you feeling inspired.
Zipit Farran Woods Cork
Zipit Farran Woods Cork has ample car parking, toilets and a playground. Other features include a wildlife enclosure which holds a small herd of red and fallow deer which can easily be viewed from the walking trail and a large duck pond. Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship Dublin
The Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship is a replica of the famine ship that carried Irish immigrants to the US during an 8 year period in the mid 1800s at the height of the Great Irish Famine.
Docked at Dublin’s Custom House Quay in the city centre, the ship has tours available to the public, offering a unique and educational day out to visitors of all ages.
The original famine tall ship, Jeanie Johnston, was built on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in 1847 in Quebec city, Canada. It was a 408 ton vessel that eventually made 26 emigrant journeys to North America between 1847 and 1855, carrying over 2,500 people with no loss of life.
Lough Key Forest and Activity Park
Situated in Roscommon just off the main N4 Dublin to Sligo road, the Lough Key Forest Park is an outdoor haven of over 800 acres of parkland and lakes.
A new environmentally friendly solar powered visitor centre has been constructed to centralise the park activities which include lots of fun family activities.
Stunning lakeside views of Lough key greet the visitor on arrival and the modern visitor centre has all modern conveniences including cafe, toilets, baby changing facilities, conference facilities, reception area etc.
Dingle Dolphin Boat Tours Kerry
Dingle Dolphin Boat Tours offer one of the best days out in Kerry. Enjoy a unique and heart warming experience as you meet Fungie the dolphin, who’s been resident in Dingle harbour for the past 30 years.
This beautiful creature is a wild wild Bottlenose Dolphin about 13 feet in length and nobody quite knows why he made Dingle harbour his home. He’s been entertaining visitors from all over the world for many decades. The names Fungie and Dingle are now synonymous with Kerry.

Gather up your gang and head in the Gorey direction where you’ll meet Moira Hart and family who manage Ireland’s only lavender farm. There’s something for everyone here. Firstly, as a spectacle it’s really great to see! Then you’ve got a series of walks in the area which offer varying lengths for outdoor lovers. When finished, pop by the cafe for some refreshments and browse selections of crafts and goodies.

With a strong focus on mythological Irish history, the rollercoaster has been named after one of the great eternal heros of Irish history, Cú Chulainn.
