Tullynally Castle and Gardens
Tullynally Castle and Gardens is a beautiful 17th century era castle and the ancestral home of the Pakenham family, who later were the earls of Longford. The castle was formerly known as Pakenham Hall and today retains the original castle gardens as well as many original castle features. The castle itself is not open to the public except by prior arrangement in the case of groups of twenty persons or more.
Located in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath the castle grounds exist today as a popular place for family walks and play time. Small tea rooms are available at the heart of the outer castle courtyard in the old Georgian stable block and the gardens are ideal for family picnics with large open areas for walks and lots of places to explore.
