UL Sport Adventure Centre is owned and run by the University of Limerick Sports Department.

The UL sport adventure centre is located in Killaloe, Co Clare at a picturesque lake side setting on Lough Derg. As well as providing an excellent facility for the staff and students in University of Limerick, the adventure centre also caters for the general public all year round.

Water activities are right beside the centre. Visitors can avail of separate ladies and gents changing rooms, stow their gear and then get straight into the action. Purpose built piers and slip ways make for easy access to the water. The same changing rooms are heated as the weather demands and there’s hot showers available as well for after your adventures. We also have a kitchen where hot drinks and refreshments can be prepared and a small indoor dining area.

Outside the centre during the Summer months, there’s a BBQ / picnic area with overhead gazebo cover in the event of those surprise Irish showers. What may be of interest to readers, is that this centre can also make for a great corporate or club day out – there’s a lecture room with up to date audiovisual lecturing facilities. All facilities and many of the activities are also wheelchair friendly.

Group days out in Clare

UCLA is the ideal location for group days out in Clare. Birthday Parties, Clubs and also School Tours are in for a real treat and a memorable day out enjoying water based and land based activities.

There are full day sessions and specialised programmes including morning activities, break for lunch and then further afternoon adventures.
