Today, Tayto Park, Ireland’s only theme park and zoo announced that twins will go FREE on Saturday, 3rd of August to celebrate International Twins Day! In an exciting addition, Tayto Park have revealed that ‘Big Bug Bonanza’ returns from Monday 5th of August to Sunday the 11th of August with an array of activities and talks for all the family to enjoy.
Twins is the word this Saturday at Tayto Park, located in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, as all twins will receive a free entry where they can enjoy the ultimate twin day out to celebrate International Twins Day with their family and friends. *Photo identification required with date of birth upon arrival to avail of free entry.
From bug-lovers to insect loathers, the ‘Big Bug Bonanza’ at Tayto Park will have a range of events suitable for all ages. Get ready to face your fears and get up close and personal with some of the parks favourite mini-creatures including a range of tarantula species, African flat rock scorpions, leafcutter ants, crickets and many more creepy crawlies!
Test your skills and learn how to identify native Irish bugs, while discovering some incredible bug facts. Get hands on and help the Tayto Park zookeepers prepare a lunchtime snack of bugs for the zoos resident meerkats, or why not visit the ‘Big Bug Bonanza’ hut for face-painting, bug themed arts and crafts and bug activity packs.

Meerkat Enrichment – Join Tayto Park zookeepers and get hands on preparing a lunchtime snack of bugs for the parks meerkats!
Ants Galore – Learn all about ants and enjoy a leafcutter ant care talk with the Tayto Park Zookeepers.
Bug Investigation – Explore Tayto Parks bug investigation station, discover some incredible bug facts and test your skills while learning how to identify native Irish bugs. Learn how to make your very own bug hotel and how to help Irelands native pollinators.
