As every family knows, the summer holidays can be an expensive time. Schools are out, the kids are at a loose end and parents are tasked with keeping them entertained!
With that in mind, Jervis Shopping Centre, Dublin’s favourite family shopping centre, has been hosting the ultimate summer of fun with events every Saturday throughout July, with more on the way this August.. and the best part is, they’re free!
Each Saturday from 1-5pm, the family can enjoy a different themed event while enjoying the walk-about characters throughout the centre, balloon modelling and a host of different exciting elements each week.

Some key dates for your diary in August;
Sat 3rd August – Pottery Painting
Keep the creative kids busy with free pottery painting with Giddy Studios! Paint a trinket box in the shape of an ice-cream cone, cup cake or a jersey pencil holder to take home to a loved one!
Sat 10th August – Jervis Pirates Weekend
Sail down to Jervis on Saturday 10th for pirate shows, balloon swords and pirate themed face painting. Don’t forget to get your picture taken in the giant guillotine!
Sat 17th August – Project Fashion & Catwalk
Have you got a little fashionista at home? Pop down to Jervis on Saturday 17th to have a chance to design your own t-shirt before modelling it on the red carpet. Don’t forget to take a selfie before you leave!
Sat 24th August – Hip-hip Workshops
Let your little ones try their hand at hip-hop dancing with Empire Dance Studios. Bop all the way home after learning a full hip-hop routine and enjoy funky free-style performances throughout the day.
Parents can take turns keeping the kids busy with the complimentary activities while they browse the 60 retailers Jervis Shopping Centre has to offer while keeping an eye out for special offers happening in several stores.
Some of the centres family favourites include B Cool Gadget Store, The Art N’ hobby Shop, Kiddies Kuts and the newly launched Japanese Lifestyle store Miniso which has an impressive toy and stationery selection.
Gino’s Gelato and Off Beat Donuts are also on hand to provide delicious treats for youngsters and adults alike.
Jervis Shopping Centre is one of Dublin’s most successful and vibrant shopping environments and is easily accessible by Luas, DART, bus or car. Car parking for the full day is capped at €13.
