The Curragh Racecourse
The Curragh Racecourse is the ancestral home of Irish flat racing since the early 1700s. A thoroughbred track, it is located on the Curragh plains in County Kildare. Well served by major road routes, traveling to the Curragh Racecourse takes just 40 minutes from Dublin depending on traffic conditions.
Race days offer a unique day out experience with an electric atmosphere, great company, food and drink and of course, the prospect of improving ones purse!
Group days out like Stag and Hen parties are popular with packages available from just 39euro pp. The remodeled Champagne Bar Restaurant serves a great selection of champagnes and world wines or alternatively the Balcony Restaurant and Bar located on the Premier Level of the Grandstand offers a great lunch menu and drinks.
The Curragh Racecourse hosts some major International Race days and this brings large crowds with lots of fashion and style on display. Ladies days are a regular event with great prizes and media recognition for the best dressed.
