Annamoe Trout Fishery consists of a family trout fishing pond and a 4 acre lake for fly fishing.

This popular fishery has been established for 35 years under the expertise of Brian Nally and offers a unique day out experience for families and group visitors.

Ideal as a place to introduce beginners to fishing, the fishery has a junior pond where visitors can experience the thrill of the catch, surrounded by the beautiful natural environment of County Wicklow.

Annamoe Trout Fishery – Family days out

The family fishing pond is stocked with Rainbow Trout, average size is 300grams and the fly fishing lake has Rainbow and Brown trout from 1kilo to 6kilo in weight.

There is also a picnic area where BBQs are available for families wishing to use same.

Opening Times:
The Junior Bait Pond is open from 12.00pm – 6.00 pm during weekends in April, May, September, October, with full open 7 days per week during June, July & August.

The fishery lake is well stocked with trout averaging 10”-12” and is an ideal location for your child birthday party outings.

Rods and bait can be hired on site for just €5 and each fish caught must be purchased @ €3.90 per catch. Make a day out of it and relax with lunch in the lake log cabin clubhouse, where light snacks and refreshments are available.

Annamoe Trout Fishery is a wonderful location to introduce children to what can be a life long interest in fishing and marine life. This beautiful natural environment is also a place to learn about riverside safety, fishing equipment and best practices for landing and catching lake trout. The lake averages three metres in depth and so a floating line will generally suffice for most fishing conditions.

Give your team a day out to remember with a fly fishing course at Annamoe Trout Fishery. Team building in Wicklow offers a beautiful setting and the lake is conveniently located beside Dublin, just a 30 minute drive from Dublin city. Join a professional instructor and learn the best techniques. The lake is stocked periodically with rainbow trout of up to 20lb and brown trout of up to 3lb. Landing the catch can be super bonding and team building experience.

At Annamoe Trout Fishery you can rent all the equipment required for €6 per session –  it includes the rod, line and 1 fly plus the  keep net.

Individual Fly Fishing Lessons

Casting Lesson – €50 for one person or €80 for two people. Fly Fishing Lessons include a private session of up to 2 hours with a qualified instructor, rod hire and fly selection tips, equipment setup, fishing with wet and dry flies and fishing for the reminder of the day. Gift Vouchers are also available, the perfect Birthday or Father’s day gift.
