Belvedere House Gardens & Park

Belvedere House Gardens & Park is a magnificent 160 acre lakeside estate, which boasts among its impressive facilities – a fully restored Georgian Villa and Victorian Walled Garden set within a Georgian naturalistic parkland designed in the 18th century to contrive nature to give a series of pleasing views, incorporating some of Ireland’s most famous Romantic follies, including the largest in Ireland, the now infamous Jealous Wall.

A fascinating Georgian estate open year round with a varied calendar of events including exciting family events at Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

Belvedere once the home of the Wicked Earl Robert Rochfort who infamously locked up his second wife Mary Molesworth for 31 years on a spurious charge of infidelity is now owned and operated by Westmeath County Council.
