With a 16km track that trails through deep forest, steep climbs and exciting descents; the Derroura Mountain Bike Trail is considered one of the most natural bike trail in Ireland. With a natural rest stop halfway through the trail, you can take in the breath-taking views of Lough Corrib with a few sandwiches. Burren Nature Sanctuary
Located just 30 minutes’ drive away from the city, Burren Nature Sanctuary is situated in the picturesque area of South Galway. Walk along the busy nature trails and meet goats, ponies, rabbits and guinea pigs and witness the disappearing lake that empties twice a day.
