Horse Riding Holidays Ireland

is the DayOut.ie guide highlighting some wonderful equestrian holiday venues in Ireland. Offering a real treat for equestrian lovers, Irish equestrian venues pay homage to our long association with the equine industry and our love and affinity with horses in Ireland.

Ireland is world renowned for our race meetings and with an exciting calendar each year, these are some of the best days out anywhere in the country. Many countries in Europe offer superb equestrian holiday opportunities, however there is something unique about Ireland, with its charm, our people and of course, our natural scenery that embraces people year and year and leaves them wanting more.

The inspiration behind the Horse Riding Holidays Ireland guide was to identify those venues visited frequently by the many families groups who choose to combine annual holidays with their love of horses. These families and groups visit Ireland to immerse themselves in our scenery and culture while working on farms or at equestrian centres all over Ireland.

The horse riding holidays Ireland guide will grow to include many more venues throughout Ireland. If the West of Ireland is a favourite destination for you, be sure to check out Slieve Aughty Riding Centre located in Loughrea, County Galway. Named after the local mountain range that runs through Galway and Clare, this West of Ireland location offers some stunning scenery across wide open spaces and lake shores. At DayOut.ie, we’re heard really good things about Slieve Aughty!

“Dear Esther,

How wonderful it was to meet you and be a guest at your wonderful place. How can I tell how spiritual and enriching it was to ride on a horse through your magical forest, to go into the woods and smell the delightful moss, to come back to your “Antonio’s house” where everyone is welcome and where I felt so contained and safe and accepted… and ate the most delicious food… yummie!!!! When you have been to visit to all, you really come back with a feeling that all is good! Thank you again”
Retha, Johannesburg, South Africa
