Lilliput Boat Hire is located at Jonathan Swift Park, Lilliput, on the scenic shores of Lough Ennell, near the town of Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. We offer both rowing boats and motor boats for hire to day trippers and lake anglers.
We are open 7 days a week, 7am-7pm from March to October, inviting you to have a highly enjoyable day on the lake.

The helpful team provide on the spot training / instruction to make you comfortable withoperating the boats. Our lake boats are available as rowing boats, or with 4hp outboard engines. Hire rate includes lifejackets and fuel.
The activity is safe and family friendly. We have lifejackets for all ages including children and toddlers. The boats are safe for children of 2 years upwards, but children must be accompanied by an adult. The person in control of the boat must be over 18 yrs.
Lough Ennell is renowned for its Brown Trout, Pike and Perch fishing. It can boast to be one of the few lakes in Ireland which has 100% wild fish, presenting an appealing challenge for the avid fishing enthusiast.

As mentioned, hire price includes the boat, lifejackets and fuel. Lilliput do not hire rods and tackle.
Terms & Conditions of hire
- For boats rentals a driving license or passport is required, a deposit of €20 is required if a boat is being hired only and a deposit of €50 is required if an engine is being hired. All deposits refundable on return.
- For your safety life jackets must be worn at all times and jumping out of boats is strictly prohibited.
- Misconduct forfeits deposit. Hire conditions apply. Management reserve right to refuse rental.

Lilliput is situated on the southwest shore of Lough Ennell just 15 minutes from Mullingar.
From Mullingar, follow the signposts on the R390, R391, and L1121. It is also very convenient from Tyrellspass and Kilbeggan exits on the M6 motorway.
